Dr. C. Ramakrishnan Nair is a graduate in English Language and Literature, double Post Graduate Degree holder in Law and Rank holder for LL.B and LL.M (Administrative Law). He has to his credit Doctorate in Labour Law from Kerala University.
He had his graduation from University College, Trivandrum and LL.B and LL.M (Administrative Law) from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Trivandrum & LL.M International Law from Government Law College, Trivandrum . He is the winner of Rama Iyer Memorial Gold medal instituted by Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer in memory of his father and Cullen Memorial Law Prize and University Union Medal- all for his academic excellence and brilliance in Law.
While in service in the Law Department, Secretariat, he was the only officer selected all over India to undergo expert training in Legislative Drafting abroad in the University of West Indies, Barbados under a Fellowship Scheme from the Commonwealth Foundation for Technical Cooperation(CFTC), London and he completed the Certificate course with distinction. He is the only officer so far selected for that course from Kerala.
Before he got himself engaged in his own independent training programme of grooming young lawyers aspiring to become judicial officers, he had served in the following capacities.

Judicial Service Examinations (Kerala)
Dr. Nair is pioneer in the field of coaching for the Judicial Service Examinations in the State in the most systematic manner. Many in his first batch of students who got appointment as Munsiff Magistrates in 2009 are now being elevated to the office of District Judges.
Usually coaching by Dr.C.R.K. Nair for the Munsiff Magistrate Test conducted by the Kerala HighCourt starts immediately after every examination without waiting for the notification inviting application for the next test is issued.
Early start of the course ensures slow and steady schedule without rushing through the syllabus. Sometimes the course prolongs for many months and sometimes more than a year. Regular test papers – sometimes more than fifty - in consonance with the pattern of HighCourt Examination is something special for the students of Dr. Nair. These test papers instil confidence in them to face the examination without any fear or anxiety. Dr Nair is ably assisted by his elder son Adv R Ram Mohan, a reputed lawyer of Trivandrum Bar having more than 25 years good standing on civil and criminal side.
About 200 students trained by Dr. Nair have, by now, been inducted to judicial services and are now serving as District Judges, Sub Judges, Munsiffs and Magistrates in the various courts in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
